Hunger Games!!!

The Hunger Game series is my new favorite!!! My roomies and I all read at least the first one, and went to see it at 3:00 a.m. We bought t-shirts and braided our hair like Katniss :) It was early in the morning, but we were pumped :) The movie was AWESOME, and we all liked it. I LOOOVED IT! On the ride home we were dead tired and had Hunger Game hangovers the next morning, but it was worth it!

We took pictures with some ladies that dressed up as Capitol people. They looked really cool!

Spring Break!

Kallin and I went to Sierra's house for Spring Break! It was so much fun! The ride to St. George/Hurricane was about six hours. Jamming out to music and talking made the ride not so boring :)
During the week we played "Just Dance", got Blizzards from Dairy Queen (multiple times), went hiking in Zion, had campfires in the backyard, watched movies, went to a lake, read The Hunger Games, and much more!

We took pictures and made a fun video :) It was a great time for all of us to relax and have a good time together!

Door Hinges

I heard a few awesome things in church today!

First- Doors open with small hinges. The same can relate to people's lives. The small things we do each day help us open the door to Christ. Each small thing we do for someone else, helps their door open a little bit wider. This also coincides with the scripture "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass."

Second- "Taking the pain out of trials is like taking the love out of life." This was such a true and great statement. The pain we feel today will be the strength we feel tomorrow. We need to have trying times to get the most out of the good times.

Third- We're commanded to help the poor and needy... but the phrase "poor and needy" doesn't always mean those who are suffering physically or financially. This can have a lot of different meanings. The poor and the needy can mean people who are poor in spirit, or people who need love or friendship. We DO need to help those less fortunate, but more importantly we need to find those who are struggling in other ways.

I love this Gospel SO much! I always feel happy and uplifted when I focus on Christ. It's my life and my love. I've never really felt like I've NEEDED to serve a mission, but I still love sharing my thoughts and feelings about the Gospel through Facebook, blogging, emails, etc. The technology that we have now is amazing, and I'm so thankful that we can use it for good. I have LOVED going to the Single's Ward at Utah State. Every single Sunday I feel amazing, and the lessons are exactly what I need to hear. Surprisingly I never want to visit my hometown because I'm afraid of not hearing from my ward here haha. Today was a great day in church, as always :)

Lady Antebellum

I cannot express how much I LOVE Lady Antebellum!!! Kallin and I got tickets and saw them live on Valentine's Day this year. We had so much fun together, and sang along to everything! I love how they sound together, and the harmonies! There are songs that are fun and upbeat, but also ones that are slow when I want to relax. I've decided that Lady A is my ALL TIME favorite band :)

My favorite songs
Dancing Away With My Heart
Cold As Stone
Just A Kiss
As You Turn Away
Never Alone

The Bluebird & Crepery

What's the one thing that my roomies and I love? Even possibly more than men? ....FOOD!
There are so many cute little restaurants around Logan, and we LOVE it! Our favorites are The Bluebird and The Crepery. We have a lot of fun talking, eating, and spending time together!

There are homemade, vanilla cream sodas at The Bluebird!!! They are so deliciously creamy, and the atmosphere of the restaurant makes them PERFECT. We're always gathering change in our piggy banks and going there when someone passes a test, or something exciting happens! Lots of times we just go there for fun though ;)

The Crepery is a little house that was made into a restaurant! They make dinner and dessert crepes. My favorites are the "Pepe Le Pesto" (cheese, turkey, peppers, and pesto sauce) and the "Pin-up" (cheesecake filling, strawberries, and chocolate sauce). I'm going to be surprised if I don't gain the Freshman 50! ;)

Sierra

I was kind of scared to get a new roommate my second semester. You always wonder, "What if she's weird? What if she's a creeper? What if she plays her trumpet all the time?" ;) Etc. Millions of questions raced through my mind when I was about to get back from Christmas Break and be with my new roommate, Sierra.

Well I got back from break, and we got to know each other. She WAS weird and she WAS a creeper, but not the way you're thinking or how I was expecting. SHE WAS JUST LIKE ME!!! :) We're sometimes weird, and creep on men around campus ;) We've become close, and I couldn't have asked for a better roomie in the world!!! God truly does know the people we need in life!

 I LOVE YOU SIERRA!

Memory Lane

Everyone says that college is SO much better than high school. In some ways I do agree. I have learned MANY more lessons and my testimony has grown so much more by being in college, but I did love high school. A lot of people also say that high school is lame and they can't wait to get to college. Well here are my thoughts when I look back at high school!

I loved my four years at Morgan High :) There were times when I wasn't really focused on the right things, and I made some dumb decisions... but my friends were always by my side. There are lessons I learned and experiences that I HAD to have in high school to prepare myself for college. I think we'd all be lost if we went straight to living on our own and eating ramen every single day ;) I want to thank all my friends who helped me, even when I was being dumb. I'll cherish all of you forever. I had good memories and good friends in high school, but I'm excited to make even better ones here in Logan. I LOVE COLLEGE!
